Lanarkshire police launch appeal to find missing Coatbridge OAP

Police in Lanarkshire have launched an appeal to trace a missing Coatbridge man.

Ronald Chisholm was reported missing earlier this afternoon (May 17) having been last seen around 3.45pm driving on the M77 southbound near Silverburn.

The 74-year-old left home in his silver Kia Venga car (RJ66 YLK).

Inspector Lyndsey McFarlane told Lanarkshire Live: “It is extremely out-of-character for Ronald to be gone for this long and concerns for his wellbeing are growing as time passes.

“We’re appealing for anyone with information his whereabouts, any potential sightings of him or his Kia Venga, to come forward as soon as possible.

Ronald is described as being 5ft 7in, of stocky build and was wearing a mustard jacket, sand-coloured trousers, an off-pink cap, sand-coloured shoes and glasses when last seen.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.
