A Lanarkshire football team has been kitted out with brand new uniforms.
The Little Dynamos will play next season in their new strips thanks to a £500 donation from the Asda Foundation through the Under 18 Better Starts Grants.
The football academy has been running for several years and currently has more than 90 members who train twice a week, including the 2010 team that will be showcasing their new kit next season.
Derek. Reid, founder of Little Dynamos, told Lanarkshire Live: “We would like to say a massive thank-you to Asda Toryglen for its help in purchasing new kits for our team of 12-year-olds and to the Community Champion, Liz, for her support and encouragement.
“This generous donation is a welcome funding boost at a time when we really need it. Without this support we would really struggle to keep the academy going.
“Parents are all stretched at the moment and this generous donation means that we do not need to ask the parents to contribute.”
Asda Toryglen community champion, Liz Arbuckle, added: “Little Dynamos is an important hub in our community for young people to come together, get active, and play competitive sport.
“This is the first time I have worked with Little Dynamos and I look forward to supporting them in the future.
“I am thrilled to present the club with a donation of £500 from Asda’s Under 18 Better Starts Grant.
"I have heard so much praise for the club founder Derek and am delighted to be able to help this club who really deserve the support.”
