A relative of the Lanarkshire woman terrorised by violent abuser Christopher Forrest has told how she is "relieved" to no longer be hiding his "dirty little secret".
The family member spoke out after horrific CCTV footage was released showing the thug throttling his ex-partner on a bed and telling her she was going to die during a sickening campaign of domestic abuse.
Takeaway delivery driver Forrest, 40, from East Kilbride, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday and pled guilty to assaulting his then partner to her injury and the danger of her life on three occasions.
