The campaign by a Lanarkshire care home to secure a trishaw for residents took to the streets last week.
Staff from Rutherglen Care Home stopped by the Tesco in Burnside, complete with an actual trishaw.
The campaign aims to secure the vehicle for the care home, letting them take residents out and about to enjoy the local greenspace.
The care home's activity coordinators Maureen Thomson and Rachel Mills told Lanarkshire Live that they got a great response from shoppers, who were keen to find out more about the bike and how it's going to benefit the residents who live in the home.
The trishaw's are electrically powered and will enrich the lives of the Residents by providing safe and comfortable rides in the fresh air, accompanied by trained pilot volunteers.
Maureen said: "They're specially adapted to be used by the elderly or people with limited ability or disabilities. The joy on the residents faces when they have had a ride on the bikes has been heartwarming and it will be a great asset to have one of these permanently based in the home."
The bikes are provided through a charitable organisation called Cycling Without Age Scotland and are hand made and imported from Norway.
The care home are planning various fundraising events and are also asking for help from local businesses for donations and sponsorship.
Maureen added "You can vote for Rutherglen Care Home's Cycling Without Age project in store at Tesco by asking for a blue token at check out and the care home will receive a community fund award dependant on the number of votes they get.
The store's community champion, Kerry Doyle, has been keen to support this project and has been helping out the care home in lots of ways including a generous donation from their in store book club.
Kerry said "It's really nice to support a local initiative and to see the benefits this project will have for the residents of the home and so we are more than happy to help."
