The Los Angeles Lakers ran up a big lead against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, only to withstand a furious rally that almost cost them the game. They held on to win, 122-119, to improve to 15-10 on the season.
LeBron James was held out of that contest, and perhaps that was one reason the Lakers had an apparent lack of focus and aggression in the final minutes when San Antonio made its run.
James will return to the lineup on Friday when the teams face off again. However, L.A. will be without three starters: Anthony Davis, Cam Reddish and D’Angelo Russell will not play.
Cam Reddish (right knee soreness) and D’Angelo Russell (non-COVID illness) are also out.
Taurean Prince and Jarred Vanderbilt have also been upgraded to available. https://t.co/bknIIRFtkW

This game is the final leg of a three-game road trip for the Lakers. They will have two full days off before their next game, which is a home contest against the New York Knicks on Monday.
