The debate of who is the greatest player in NBA history is hotly contested. Former Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan has owned that debate for over 20 years, but lately, LeBron James has encroached on his territory.
With four world championships, four regular season and finals MVP awards, one scoring title and the most points in league history, James’ resume is almost second to none. Even at age 38, he could still add more if he is fortunate enough to avoid major injury and continue to play at a high level.

Of course, one has to wonder if Ham made his comment mostly because James is on his team. Former Lakers head coach Frank Vogel had also said James is the greatest ever during his time coaching the Akron, Ohio native.
After flirting with the thought of retiring following the Lakers’ sweep at the hands of the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 Western Conference finals, James announced in July he will return for his 21st season. He will have plenty of help for the first time in a while as he seeks his fifth championship ring.
