Lady Gaga praised for rushing to stumbling photographer’s aid at Oscars

Lady Gaga has been praised for rushing to the aid of a photographer who fell as he walked past her at the Oscars.

The singer was seen rushing to help the man after he tripped on the "red carpet", which was coloured beige this year.

"Hero!" one viewer dramatically tweeted, while another wrote: "Gaga keeps it real. It was her instinct to just rush and help. Other celebs would never."

A third commented: "The way people react speaks volumes about who they are at their core.”

The 36-year-old was nominated for Best Original Song for her song Hold My Hand from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack.

She ditched her sheer Versace gown for a pair of black jeans, a grey t-shirt and minimal makeup for an understated performance of the track.

She told the star-studded audience: “I wrote this song with my friend BloodPop for the film Top Gun: Maverick in my studio basement.

“It’s deeply personal for me and I think that we all need each other.

“We need a lot of love to walk through this life and we all need a hero sometimes.

"There’s heroes all around us in unassuming places but you might find that you can be your own hero even if you feel broken inside.”

Despite further praise online for the performance, she lost out to Naatu Naatu, Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj for their song, Naatu Naata from the film, RRR.

Gaga recently shared a first-look image of herself in character on the set of the upcoming Joker sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux.
