Wins like Collingwood's scrap-fest for three quarters last Saturday night are the gravel that goes into the foundation of a successful AFL season.

Scott Pendlebury and Bobby HIll were late outs, Brayden Maynard went down in the first term, Brody Mihocek was hurt in the second quarter and had to briefly leave the field and North Melbourne led by nine points at halftime.
