Labour MP Dawn Butler diagnosed with breast cancer after routine mammogram

Labour MP Dawn Butler has revealed her cancer diagnosis following a routine mammogram.

The 52-year-old made a public statement to social media on Monday morning about her breast cancer diagnosis as well as her recent surgery.

Butler, MP for Brent Central, added that the breast cancer cells had been discovered at a very early stage so it was something she would "get through and over".
