Labour leapfrog Reform in the polls after Brexit pledge

  • Labour has returned to the top of the polls at 30 per cent following Prime Minister Andy Burnham's pledge to rethink Britain's post- Brexit relationship with the European Union.
  • An Opinium survey revealed that 54 per cent of adults support Burnham's approach to EU relations, with 46 per cent stating Brexit has done more harm than good.
  • Major conference proposals for a National Care Service funded by taxes and changes to the pension triple lock also received strong public support.
  • Reform UK sits in second place on 25 per cent, ahead of the Conservatives on 17 per cent and the Green Party on 11 per cent.
  • Burnham remains the only major UK political leader with a net positive approval rating, currently standing at plus eight.
