All eyes were on the Super Bowl last night and into the early hours as Stan Kroenke's LA Rams took on the Cincinnati Bengals for the 56th instalment of one of the biggest sporting occasions in the world.
Despite Cincinnati Bengals being within touching distance of securing the win, it was the Rams who beat them to it after scoring a late touchdown.
Millions of people around the world hold an interest in American football, including many in the UK. However, last night's match attracted interest from the Arsenal fanbase in particular with the club's owner making the headlines for his contribution in getting the LA Rams where they are today.
In the lead up to Super Bowl LVI, the CEO of Downtown Rams, Jake Ellenbogen told The Arsenal Way that Stan Kroenke views the Rams as his "favourite child" and admitted he could see why the American's actions have "upset" Gunners supporters.
As the Super Bowl match concluded, Stan Kroenke appeared from the stands with a beaming smile on his face before congratulating his players and coaching staff.
However, the moment that really would have got Arsenal fans thinking was when Stan took to the presentation podium to lift the famous Super Bowl trophy alongside Rams coach Sean McVay and the rest of the team.
After several years of controversy, poor communication and a lack of attendance at Arsenal Football Club, witnessing Stan celebrate such an achievement with all of the squad members has left a bitter feeling.
I get it, Stan's club has just won a Super Bowl, a wonderful achievement that has made his wallet even heavier. Congratulations to him, but it's the fact that he's more than happy to rub shoulders with people in the U.S. and not over here that really highlights where he is going wrong.
I never saw him on the pitch at Wembley lifting the FA Cups, mixing with the players and thanking the fans. He says he cares, and he might do, but not enough to match the class of Arsenal.
The sad truth is, Mr Kroenke will always have his favourite football team - and that's the LA Rams.
