The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has issued a response to a troubling surveillance video that has surfaced. The office took to Instagram to address the video, stating that they have viewed it and found its contents to be incredibly difficult and extremely disturbing.
In their statement, the District Attorney's office mentioned that if the incident depicted in the video indeed took place in 2016, they would be unable to press charges due to the statute of limitations for assault crimes. They expressed regret over the inability to prosecute such conduct that falls outside the legal timeframe.
