Kyogo victorious in POTY race as Celtic hero picked ahead of two teammates and Kevin Van Veen for top PFA honour

Kyogo Furuhashi has won the PFA Player of the Year award for season 2023/24.

A quartet were nominated for the award after placing in the Team of the Year as voted for by member players in Scotland. It's been another relentless year for Ange Postecoglou's Celtic and three of the key men in the Premiership title-winning side earned nominations. Kyogo has been the main man in attack while Reo Hatate has pulled the strings in midfield. Captain Callum McGregor - who won this award last season - was their leader and is on course to lift a world-record breaking fifth treble of his career in the Hoops beat Inverness in the Scottish Cup final.

Kevin Van Veen has been one of the standout players across the rest of Scotland and his 26 goals across all competitions have helped Motherwell avoid a relegation battle. But it's Kyogo who wins the race, having also won his club's POTY and Players POTY on the same night.

Charlie Reilly won League Two's POTY, Calum Gallagher scooped League One's. Dipo Akinyemi goes home the Championship equivalent and Jota scooped Goal of the Season.
