Kyogo Furushahi received a rapturous reception as he made his Vissel Kobe homecoming ahead of their J1 League match against Urawa Reds.
The Celtic star, who left Japan for Scotland last summer, was pictured while he addressed an excited crowd at the Noevir Stadium before his former side lost the match 1-0.
Kyogo also took part in a training session with his ex-team mates on Friday and even reunited with Barcelona legend Andreas Iniesta. He is currently on holiday back in his homeland before he gears up for what's set to be another gruelling pre-season under Ange Postecoglou as Celtic prepare to mix with Europe's elite in the Champions League.
The players will join up again on June 27 but those who have been away on international duty over the summer will be afforded a little more time off before the pre-season training camp in Austria.
Kyogo played a key role as the Hoops regained the Premiership crown from rivals Rangers while he scored a double - including a stunning lobbed effort - in the Premier Sports Cup Final win over Hibs at Hampden.
