Kyler Murray is fired up about the Cardinals’ first-round pick

The Arizona Cardinals managed to wheel and deal their way to the No. 6 pick in the draft. After selecting offensive lineman Paris Johnson with the sixth pick in the draft, they made quarterback Kyler Murray a happy man.

Before the draft, Murray made it known that he wanted the team to select Johnson and improve the offensive line.

Murray quickly reacted to the selection on Twitter soon after the pick was made.

“LFG! Let’s get to work big fella!” he wrote and also added Johnson to the tweet.

The Cardinals had not taken a first-round offensive lineman since selecting left tackle D.J. Humphries in Round 1 in 2015.

The team has seemingly made a conscious effort to show Murray he is important and what he thinks and wants for the team matters.

It will be fun to see how this plays out and whether Johnson can find a spot in the lineup as a rookie.

An offer for Cardinals fans
