The $3.7 billion Kurri Kurri data centre plan will create more than 250 full-time jobs and inject $480 million into the state's economy, an environmental impact statement says.
The project, which is on public exhibition, comes amid a wave of massive investment in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital infrastructure, alongside fears about their effects on society.
