30 year old English internet personality and boxer KSI has demanded for a rematch and announced his intention to challenge the decision on judges giving Tommy Fury victory after their bout on 14th October. Fury won on points in the match held in Manchester on Saturday night after it ended at six rounds. KSI felt “robbed” of the victory.
Fury called out Jake and Logan Paul for a bout, but it seems like he has no interest in doing so after vowing to be done with crossover boxing.
After the incorrect outcome of the KSI vs. Tommy Fury fight was announced as a result of a judge totaling up his own card wrongly, with fans dubbing it “a bit fishy.”
Judge Rafael James erroneously totaled Fury’s score as 57-57 even though he had recorded the match 56-57 in Fury’s favor. Fury should have won by unanimous decision instead.
As a result of the new outcome, Fury is now listed as having won by unanimous decision rather than majority decision.
James scored four rounds for Fury and two for KSI, however he computed the YouTuber’s total incorrectly, making his scorecard read 57-57, which caused the incorrect outcome to be reported.
Due to a point deduction in the second round for punching KSI in the back of the head, some fans were still unconvinced and thought Fury did not put forth enough effort to win four rounds, which was what was expected of him.
“I can’t see how the second round was scored to Tommy, nor can I get behind that third judge’s mathematics. Fishy situation this like,” said one fan in media reports.
“Very suspect scorecards,” said one fan in media reports.
“KSI is a sore loser,” said Fury in media reports.
