Krispy Kreme are giving away free doughnuts at the last minute before shops close.
From March 6 to March 12, the American doughnut company will be tackling food waste by giving away free doughnuts boxes. Treat-seekers who arrive one minute prior to the shop’s closing time and let a Krispy Kremer know they’re here for the “Last Minute Box Offer” will get a box of four doughnuts.
Krispy Kreme Ireland chief Declan Foley said: "We are committed to having a positive role in tackling food waste, and are already exploring some great initiatives which will help us do this. In addition, from March 6 to March 12, customers can pick up a box of free doughnuts at the end of each day.
