Kris Boyd has trolled Rodri over his Scotland outburst by making a quip over Pep Guardiola having new dummies on his Manchester City return.
The Spain midfielder launched a scathing attack on Steve Clarke's side following the Euro 2024 qualifying win at Hampden by claiming the Dark Blues spent the game 'wasting time' and the style of play on show was 'rubbish'.
Scott McTominay was the hero under the lights at Hampden as the Manchester United midfielder fired home twice for the home side. It followed up his double from the bench against Cyprus in the campaign opener to take his tally for this qualifying phase to four goals already. It means Scotland are on six points from six ahead of facing Norway and Georgia during the June double-header. On Rodri, Boyd told Sky Sports: "I hope Pep's got some new dummies ready for Rodri when he gets back to Manchester City because he certainly spat them out last night."

On the Hampden triumph, he added: "I think it shows how far Scotland have come under Steve Clarke because when you've got top nations like Spain turning up and making excuses - the length of the grass on the pitch, fouling - you look at Iago Aspas last night and he was more of a wrestler challenging Ryan Porteous.
"I get the fact that they're disappointed they've lost the game but Scotland were deserved winners, it wasn't a fluke. If you go toe to toe with nations who basically invented that style of football, you're going get beat."
Speaking last night on Viaplay after the match, Rodri said: “It’s the way they play. We have to respect that. For me it’s a bit rubbish because it is always wasting time.
“They provoke you and they always fall. For me, this is not football. For the speed of the sport, you have to move on but the referee has to take part of this. But he says nothing.
“It's frustrating because we want to win but it’s difficult, because you waste time and waste time. But it is what it is. They have their weapons and we need to use our weapons. We will know that for the next time.”
