Kris Boyd has two Celtic treble-winners in stitches with 'be afraid' jibe

It was far from the easiest three points Celtic have claimed this season so far, but their 1-0 win against Aberdeen last night (Wednesday), was well-earned nevertheless.

In the face of windy conditions at Pittodrie, both sides struggled at times to judge the movement of the ball – in the air and on the ground – however a fine move between Greg Taylor and Reo Hatate made the difference on the night.

The win sees Celtic climb seven points clear of second-place Aberdeen, and remain 11 points ahead of third-place Rangers – the Ibrox side having swept Kilmarnock aside 6-0 in Glasgow.

Covering the top of the table clash for Sky Sports, Kris Boyd, Neil Lennon and Jonny Hayes joined Eilidh Barbour, and it was while analysing the state of play post-match that Boyd had the studio in stitches.

As the programme came to a close, in a nod to Rangers' dominant display elsewhere, Boyd, presumably jokingly, said: "Be afraid, Rangers are back".
