The road you keep not taking
You have probably driven the coastal highway at least once. Murudeshwar, Gokarna, Murdeshwar, the beach towns string together so easily that the inland turn-off barely registers. There is a signboard somewhere past Bhatkal that points toward Kollur. Most cars do not slow down for it.
