KOLKATA: Senior CISF officials wanted to send the head constable Akshay Kumar Mishra - who had fired inside Indian Museum, killing CISF ASI Ranjit Kumar Sarangi - to a session with psychiatrists in June this year after he started showing a different temperament ever since his father's death on April 26.
However, Mishra did not agree to the proposal. According to sources, Mishra used to suspect that his colleagues and seniors had been conspiring against him and he often blamed them if anything went amiss from his routine.
Having spent 22 years in service, this change was noticed by his seniors who advised him to take remedial measures. But Mishra avoided meeting any psychiatrist.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that Sarangi was shot thrice (the third time he was already dead) by Mishra on Saturday evening. "It is certain he carried a deep hatred for some specific people," stated a police source.
