KOLKATA: A day after the CNI schools decided to resume physical classes from Monday, schools under the Catholic Church have opted to stick to the government advice and continue online classes for another week. The state government had on June 13 asked schools to extend the summer holidays till June 26.
Reverend Thomas D'Souza, the archbishop of Calcutta, said the church was not calling upon schools to open next week. "We have another week to go before schools are to open. Since the schools are conducting online classes, we do not feel the need to make any changes. As of now, the schools will start offline classes from June 27," the archbishop said.
