Kerala: Yellow alert for nine districts today

Kochi Kannur Kerala Kasaragod Kozhikode Wayanad Ernakulam Idukki Kottayam Malappuram

KOCHI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy to very heavy rainfall for several districts in Kerala till June 22. Yellow alert has been issued for Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod on Sunday.

Also, squally weather with wind speed reaching 40-50 Kmph is likely to prevail over Kerala-Karnataka coast. Fishermen are advised not to venture into above sea areas till June 22.
