Liverpool have been told that they would be wise to sign young Fulham star Fabio Carvalho.
The ECHO understands that Liverpool are one of at least 12 clubs who have expressed a possible interest in Carvalho.
The Reds' recruitment team believe his level of experience at 19, and his ability to play in a number of attacking roles, make him an interesting prospect, as they look to continue their policy of luring the finest youngsters in England to the club.
Recent examples are Harvey Elliott and Kaide Gordon, to name just two.
And former Liverpool midfielder Michael Thomas believes his old club would be making the right decision were they to bring Carvalho to Anfield.
Thomas also argued why Jurgen Klopp and the Reds' reputation for bringing through young players will stand them in good stead in negotiations.

“Carvalho looks like a very bright talent,” Thomas, who played for the club in the 1990s, told CaughtOffside .
“Can play with both feet and has an eye for goal. Klopp has already shown that he is more than happy to play young talent and with all the experienced players at the club, it is an amazing place for younger players to come and learn about everything on and off the pitch.
“He would add to the huge amount of talent who are already at the club, so definitely a good signing.”
