Kit Harington is set to make a dazzling comeback as Jon Snow in a new Game Of Thrones spin-off series for HBO, The Hollywood Reporter has said.
It's thought that the network are in the 'early development' stage of the latest drama which could see Kit reprise the role that made him a household name.
It would be the first TV series based within George R.R. Martin's world that will be set in a time after Game of Thrones came to an end.
Some prequel series have been announced but this is the only possible sequel.
The upcoming House of the Dragon series is set 200 years before the original series, following the reign of House Targaryen.
Other prequels in development include 10,000 Ships and 9 Voyages.
There are also three animated prequel projects, including The Golden Empire, which is set in the China-inspired land of Yi Ti.
Kit's role earned him an Emmy nomination as well as being one of few characters that survived from the pilot episode to the end.
Since leaving Game of Thrones, Kit has starred as Dane Whitman in the 2021 Marvel Studios movie Eternals, and Mary's Monster and Blood For Dust are in pre-production.
Kit has landed the main character role in Blood For Dust which follows former friends Cliff, a traveling salesman struggling to make ends meet, and Ricky (Kit Harington), a rich illegal weapons dealer, who bump into each other and agree to partner up to make some quick money.
In Mary's Monster Kit will be seen as Frankenstein’s monster in the film which will explore Mary Shelley’s mental struggle to write Frankenstein.
He also recently starred in the title role in the National Theatre’s live production of Henry V.
Kit shot to fame following his debut in Game of Thrones aged just 24 and has been a household name ever since.
The star got his formal acting training at London's Central School of Speech and Drama in 2008 where he then went on to star in some plays.
While still at drama school, he landed the role of Albert in the National Theatre's adaptation of War Horse which then went on to win two Olivier awards.
This gained Kit a large amount of recognition and was then cast in his second play Post, a dark ensemble comedy about upper-class men attending Oxford University.
This then led to his first TV role which was Game of Thrones that began airing in 2011.
The majority of Kit's role was filmed in Iceland and Northern Ireland, with a lot of over night filming in the cold weather.
In the latter series Kit reportedly became one of the highest paid actors on television, earning £2 million per episode.
He then switched to feature films, with his first major lead role in Pompeii when he played Milo.
Kit got married to his Game of Thrones co-star Rose Leslie in 2018 and the pair have gone on to have a son together.
