A popular Leeds chain restaurant has suddenly shut - and no one seems to know why.
Frankie & Benny's in Kirkstall's Cardigan Fields retail park has had all the branding stripped from the outside of the restaurant, and is shut to customers. On Google, the restaurant is tagged as 'permanently closed'.
Frankie & Benny's don't seem to have posted anything about the closure, but the Kirkstall restaurant has been removed from the Yorkshire restaurants list on its website. It still remains listed as an attraction on the Cardigan Fields website.

Back in 2020, when restaurants began to reopen after the first long lockdown, Frankie & Benny's released a list of all its restaurants that would be reopening. Any that weren't included closed down permanently.
Branches at Crown Point shopping park and in the Light closed permanently then. At the time, the restaurant said closures were due to the effects of the pandemic.
There are now only two remaining Frankie & Benny's restaurants in Leeds according to their website - one in White Rose Shopping Centre and one on Geldard Road.
