Kirkcudbright was packed for the 24th Jazz Festival over the weekend.
Visitors and locals alike enjoyed a fantastic variety of bands and artistes between Thursday and Sunday.
And one of the highlights was the popular brolly parade, with the brightly coloured procession making its way through the town on Saturday
morning.
It was led by Fiona, Frances and Fiona, who work at Kirkcudbright Development Trust’s Johnston Centre.
Festival convener, Leon McCaig, said: “The sun shone, Kirkcudbright was busy with festival goers and the music was absolutely first rate.
“Everybody had a great time at the festival.
“We’ve had nothing but praise and positive remarks about how well it had gone.
“The parade band was the best we’ve ever had, the church service was one of the best we’ve ever had.
“The whole thing was just great.
“There was only one small problem – there were fewer people than in previous years but nevertheless it was a great success in terms of music and enjoyment.”
There were more than 30 gigs, including a special jazz church service on Sunday
morning.
