ESPN and Amazon announcer Kirk Herbstreit delivered sad news on Thursday. His charming Golden Retriever, Ben, succumbed to cancer.
Ben had become America’s Dog, traveling with Herbstreit as he called games for each network.
Schools began to create credentials for Ben and he received gifts and love everywhere he went.
Ben was the best boy and was beloved by one and all. Condolences to Kirk Herbstreit and his family. Know that Ben brought joy to everyone he touched (and who petted him).
This is really hard to write but so many of you have loved and cared about Ben that I wanted to let you know.
