Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will be offered a temporary home at Sandringham by the king while preparations are made for his more permanent home on the Norfolk estate, it is understood.
The arrangements are being made to accelerate the former prince’s relocation from Royal Lodge in Windsor, a Grade II listed mansion which he has paid a peppercorn rent on for 20 years, to a smaller property at Sandringham.
