This is the adorable moment a Salford dogs home recreated the King's Coronation - with hounds searching for a new homes playing the role of the Royals. Dogs4Rescue in Irlam hosted a celebration fit for a king and crowned Stuart, one of the centre's most popular pups, as its new ruler.
The ceremony was streamed over social media with commentary provided by etiquette expert William Hanson. He said: "I've been so excited about the coronations of The King and also King Stuart, I extend my warmest congratulations to both of them on their big days.

“Dogs4Rescue has been doing an amazing job of getting people into the spirit, which is exactly what the coronation is all about. I extend my warmest congratulations to both Kings on their big days, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them."
Dogs4Rescue is attempting to raise £50,000 to fit out of the new dogs' log cabin at Rescue World, a new sanctuary and dog adventure playground near Accrington. Donations can be made here.
