King Charles III has made an extraordinary and personal intervention in the case of Myanmar’s detained leader Aung San Suu Kyi, reaching out with diplomatic correspondence to her undisclosed location under house arrest in the capital Naypyitaw.
The Myanmar regime released rare photographs of Ms Suu Kyi on Monday as she received the King’s correspondence, which included a sealed letter and two books on environmental matters.
