King Charles jokes about attempting to play a sport that ‘nearly killed me’

King Charles joked that his Royal Navy days of playing cricket across the Caribbean islands “nearly killed me”.
The King received a signed cricket bat from Sir Viv Richards at the annual Commonwealth Day reception at St James’s Palace.
The reception saw the King and Queen meet ministers and dignitaries from across the 56 Commonwealth nations.
Queen Camilla also pointed out Sir Viv Richards' nickname, “Master Blaster”, written on the side of the bat.
Sir Viv Richards, a retired Antiguan cricketer, is widely regarded as one of the greatest batters of all time.
