A man was shot dead as he walked home from the pub in what police believe was a case of mistaken identity.
Craig Eaton was mercilessly shot twice and left in a pool of blood by his killer as he walked to his friend's house. The 22-year-old had been at the pub with a friend and was walking along Molyneux Road in Kensington, near to the junction with Mallow Road, when he was fatally shot.
Police believe the murder case, which happened on February 24, 2004, was a case of mistaken identity. Craig was an Alder Hey Children's Hospital carer and on the night he was killed was mourning the loss of one of his patients.
