A young father and his 18-month-old daughter tragically died after they were involved in a fatal lorry collision in Cambridgeshire last week. William Jesson, 22, from Dagenham in Essex, and young toddler Eve were travelling in a blue Ford Fiesta when the vehicle collided with a lorry being driven by a man in his 40s.
The tragic incident occurred in the afternoon of October 15 at around 2.50pm on the A10 southbound near Chittering in Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire Live reports. Police have reported another two young passengers from the car, a woman in her 20s and and a three-year-old girl, were both left seriously injured by the crash and have been taken to Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge.
The woman, who is also from Dagenham, is in a critical condition while the toddler is suffering from severe but non-life-threatening injuries. The lorry jack-knifed in the collision and crashed into a water-filled ditch, police added, and the driver suffered minor injuries and remained at the scene.
