However, the main plot point that made viewers take to social media was an “uncomfortable” interaction between Bren and his estranged granddaughter where he appeared to be grooming her by making her dance in front of him.
At the end of the show, it was implied that Bren has a track record of behaviour such as this, with one character exclaiming: "He's doing it again". One viewer took to Twitter to post: “Jaysus uncomfortable viewing.”
Another agreed, posting: “That was uncomfortable”. More agreed, with one person tweeting: “Kin is just bloody brilliant. I was so uncomfortable watching tonight’s episode and that’s a testament to the acting.”
Another added: “Naw that was so uncomfortable to watch, Bren is the vilest character on TV.”
While one more posted: “Bren is a scary, scary man. Uncomfortable viewing, to say the least, the latest episode of Kin.”
Although Bren’s character made viewers “uncomfortable” many praised Francis Magee, the actor who plays Bren for his abilities.
One viewer posted: “The actor who plays Bren is doing an outstanding job. My skin crawls when he appears never mind when he starts talking.”
