Manchester United are on the brink of finalising a deal for Napoli defender Kim Min-jae, according to reports.
A rumoured £45million buyout clause has Europe’s top clubs on red alert after the South Korean’s stellar campaign in Italy. In his debut season since joining Napoli for £15million, the centre-back has dominated the backline to help the club clinch their first league title in over 30 years.
Napoli have conceded just 25 goals - the fewest in the division - despite selling first-choice defender Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea last summer. A report from Italian outlet Il Mattino claims the 26-year-old has doubts about a move to Old Trafford but a deal is 'practically done'.

There are suggestions United would include Victor Lindelof as part of the deal but Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis would prefer cash. Signing another centre-back would provide Erik ten Hag with a selection headache as Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have been his preferred first-choice pairing.
In other news, The Times are claiming United are preparing a double swoop for Harry Kane and Rasmus Højlund. It is no secret that signing a new goalscorer will be the top priority for Old Trafford chiefs this summer.
The report suggests Ten Hag is eyeing a ready-made striker and an understudy who can carry the torch in the coming years. Højlund has emerged as one of Serie A’s brightest prospects, scoring eight goals despite his tender age.
The 20-year-old has already earned international recognition with Denmark, scoring five goals in his first four senior appearances. MEN Sport understands Kane is Ten Hag's top priority but that Højlund is also on the club's radar.
