A new thriller feature starring Kim Kardashian has been acquired by Amazon MGM Studios. The project, which is currently untitled, is based on an original idea by Natalie Krinsky, who will be writing the script. The plot details are being kept secret for now. Krinsky specifically envisioned Kardashian for the role, and it is yet to be decided whether the film will have a theatrical release or be streamed.
The production will be a collaboration between Kardashian, Krinsky, and Bruna Papandrea from Made Up Stories. Krinsky is best known for her work on the 2020 romantic comedy 'The Broken Hearts Gallery' and has also written for TV series like 'Red Band Society' and the original 'Gossip Girl'.
This project marks another acting venture for Kardashian, who currently stars in the Hulu reality series 'The Kardashians'. She gained fame through her family's long-running show 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians'. In addition to this thriller, Kardashian is also set to appear in the comedy film 'The Fifth Wheel', which she will produce as well. The movie, written by Paula Pell and Janine Brito, was acquired by Netflix in a competitive bidding process.
Previously, Kardashian had a role in FX's 'American Horror Story: Delicate', alongside Emma Roberts, Matt Czuchry, and others. Her acting credits also include Tyler Perry's 'Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor' and a voice role in the 'Paw Patrol' movie franchise.
