Kim Kardashian 'furious' with Kanye West over violent Pete Davidson music video

Kim Kardashian is said to be furious with Kanye West over his Eazy music video, which appears to depict the rapper burying her current boyfriend Pete Davidson alive.

The dark cartoon was released hours after Kim was declared 'legally single' by a US court, over a year after she first filed for divorce from Kanye.

The video shows a clay-animated figure of Kanye kidnapping Pete, putting a bag over his head and tying him up and throwing him on the back of van before burying him alive.

The video ends with Kanye sprinkling seeds over his 'love rival' as roses grow on his head.

Fans reacted with horror after the video was shared this week, with sources close to Kim, 41, revealing how upset she was by the dark content matter.

"Kim thinks it's way too violent and is upset," a source told PEOPLE.

"She's really upset with Kanye that he'd do this. She's completely over all of this and she wants it to stop."

The source also claims that Kim couldn't understand why Kanye could agree to such a 'violent' post but vent about her letting their eight-year-old daughter North have a TikTok account.

In his latest track, Kanye raps: "God saved me from the crash, just so I can beat Pete Davidson's a**"

Following a backlash, the video has now been removed from Kanye's Instagram page.

The rap star has been using his social media page to rant about his ongoing separation from Kim who he has made no secret of his hopes of reconciling with.

However, Kim appears to be turning a blind eye to his pleas to 'keep the family together' as she remains loved up with Saturday Night Live comic Pete, who is 13 years her junior.

She defended her beau from Kanye's followers, choosing to 'like' a tweet from Suicide Squad director James Gunn who posted amid the video furore, "For the record, Pete Davidson is one of the nicest, sweetest guys I know. Truy generous, tender and funny spirit. He treats everyone around him with respect."

After briefly weighing in on the controversy, People's Kardashian source said Kim's main priority is protecting her children.

"She is very angry about the violence and she just feels that it's inappropriate and wrong."

Kim and Kanye are sharing custody of their children North, Chicago, four, Saint, six, and Psalm, two.

Since their split, Kim has moved on with SNL comic Pete after the pair starred together on the show and even shared a snog during one sketch.

The union has not gone down well with Kanye, who has dated Julia Fox and Chaney Jones, since splitting with Kim - who mocked the SNL appearance on his new music.

The rapper, 44, sampled Kim's monologue where she called him "the greatest rapper of all time" and the "richest black man in America", on track Sci Fi.

Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February last year after nearly seven years of marriage.
