Wayne Couzens and Ian Stewart were among five killers to have their prison sentences heard by senior judges at the Court of Appeal today.
Former police officer Wayne Couzens was handed a whole-life order last September for the abduction, rape and murder of former Durham University student Sarah Everard. While earlier this year Ian Stewart, who murdered Northumberland children's author Helen Bailey in 2016, was also convicted of killing his wife Diane Stewart six years earlier.
Today the pair both appealed their whole-life terms.
