Killer of mum stabbed 60 times and dismembered sent text to husband saying 'you're next'

The man suspected of killing a mum found dismembered in a blood-soaked duffel bag left a message for her husband warning his “whole family is next”, police have said.

The remains of Orsolya Gaal, 51, were discovered by dog walkerr Glenn Van Nostrand when he took his dog for a walk in Queens, New York, on Saturday.

Coroners have revealed the mum-of-two was stabbed more than 60 times in the horrific attack that resulted in her death.

Investigating cops are now checking video which seems to show a mysterious figure lugging the duffel bag down the street.

According to reports, her cause of death was sharp force injuries of the neck.

Police also reportedly found knife wounds on her hands and inside her fingers as well as injuries to her neck, torso and left arm.

Police told PIX11 that Mrs Gaal told her son she was going to watch a show, however had met up with a man instead.

Investigating officers believed the man killed her in the basement of her home and stuffed her body into the duffel bag, before dumping her body half a mile away.

The alleged killer then reportedly sent his victim’s husband, Howard Klein, a text message.

"Your whole family is next", the text reportedly read.

Mr Klein was out of town when his wife was killed.

News of the alleged killer’s threats comes as police continue to follow up on leads to piece together everything Mrs Gaal did the night leading up to her death.

A source told the New York Post: “She goes out. She goes out with friends…we’re pulling video and receipts from those places.

“[Then] around 4:30am [Saturday], you see somebody rolling this [duffel bag] down the sidewalk from multiple cameras...

"We have to figure out, did she meet some mysterious stranger along the way?”

The source added they were set to question the people she was out with on Friday night.

The discovered duffel bag was reportedly leaking blood, and the trail led back to Ms Gaal's home around half a mile away where her 13-year-old son was alone.

New York Post reported the boy was seen being handcuffed and led away by police, before being quizzed and then released.

Howard Klein, the victim's husband, and their 17-year-old son were said to be out of state.

Police, however, indicated they were on their way back to New York.

The two men, officials said, are "people of interest" in the case, those with inside knowledge told the Post.

Neighbours in the area were alarmed at the gruesome discovery and described feeling sick about the body find.

Others said they did not feel safe to be walking in the neighbourhood at night with a body having been discarded at the side of the road

“It’s freaky," said horrified resident Linda Gorniaczyk at the crime scene.

"As a woman, it’s scary. You listen to true crime stuff and you don’t want to see it in real life, especially in your neighbourhood.”

Nicola Blankson, who knew the victim said: “She was pretty calm, sociable.

“She was out there living her life and making sure her kids were well looked after like any mother would.

“This is the last thing I’d expect to wake up to in the morning. To wake up to this is just devastating.”
