Rangers-bound Kieran Dowell has lapped up Todd Cantwell's derby day heroics at Ibrox as he shared the love after his display against Celtic.
The 25-year-old is set to play a key part in Michael Beale 's summer overhaul with the Norwich City midfielder expected to pen a three-year Ibrox deal when his Carrow Road contract expires. The move will see him follow ex-Canaries teammate Cantwell to the Scottish Premiership - with the playmaker already making a massive impact at Ibrox and with the Rangers' fans.
Cantwell continued to catch the eye of fans as he opened the scoring in the convincing 3-0 win over Celtic - leading to plenty of plaudits from fans and pundits alike. The display also appears to have caught the eye of Dowell as the clock ticks down until his reunion with Rangers' new talisman as he runs down the final weeks of his contract in the English Championship.
Cantwell shared a series of snaps to Instagram celebrating Rangers victory over Celtic - including his goal and celebration. Dowell liked the post as he appeared to nod to a potential switch to Ibrox.
Michael Beale has promised big changes at Ibrox summer and fans will hope Dowell can follow Cantwell and make an instant impact at Rangers. In his latest transfer update Beale was reluctant to name potential free agents moving to Glasgow, with Dujon Sterling and Jack Butland also targered.
He said: "There's a lot of speculation and names, lots of good players which is nice that they're being linked with us but until anything's concrete we don't want to talk about any individual players. Out of respect for their clubs and the players as well."
