Key deadline revealed to apply for free photo ID needed to vote

Voter

Voters who do not have a valid ID to vote will need to apply for one by the end of April.

The changes come ahead of this year’s council elections in May where voters go to the polls in Liverpool, Wirral and other councils across the country.

Voters will now have to produce a valid photo ID at polling stations due to laws passed by the government in 2022.
