Key dates for Manchester United ahead of first-ever UEFA Women's Champions League campaign

The dust has only just settled on what was an exhilarating 2022/23 Women's Super League season, but attention has already shifted to the 2023/24 campaign as Manchester United prepare to compete in Europe for the first time in their history.

Despite narrowly missing out on the Women's Super League title to Chelsea on the final day of the season, Marc Skinner's side made significant strides last term by competing in their first FA Cup final and securing European qualification. However, only the champions automatically qualify for the group stages of the Champions League, with second and third place required to go through qualification rounds.

England are ranked fourth in the 2022 UEFA women's association coefficients, which is used to allocate places and takes into account performance in European competitions from 2017-18 to 2021–22. The qualification stage is then divided into two rounds with Arsenal, who finished third, set to enter in the first round and United, who finished second, then entering in the second round.
