Key Arsenal training decision made by Mikel Arteta could change transfer plans for Youri Tielemans

Arsenal have been given a massive boost heading into the weekend's game against Leicester City with one of their stars pictured back in training.

Despite winning 2-0 against Crystal Palace on the opening day of the league season there has still been lots of transfer activity going on at the club with moves away from the Emirates coming closer for Hector Bellerin, Nicolas Pepe and Pablo Mari, meanwhile the midfield depth is still an area of concern for Mikel Arteta as he looks to strengthen his side.

This has led to strong links with Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans and also AC Milan's Sandro Tonali, whilst Cody Gakpo and Yeremy Pino remain options for more attacking purchases. There has been a big reintroduction to training which could change these transfer plans though.

As 22-year-old midfield addition Fabio Vieira started his life in north London he was given a huge blow just days after joining. The £35m man injured himself within the first week and has only been seen a handful of times since his original knock to the foot in July.

The Portuguese star, who joined from Porto this summer, wasn't able to have a smooth pre-season due to his injuries and is likely to be a long way behind schedule for the Gunners when compared with the full-flow that Arteta's side have started the season in.

Vieira's return could be close on the horizon though as images have emerged of the new signing in training at London Colney once more.

Although it could still be too early for him to be involved against the Foxes on Saturday, Emile Smith Rowe also returned to training this week as the attacking midfield stocks rise for Arteta. With Vieira a highly rated prospect, his introduction to life in London could change the plans of Edu as he looks to find extra depth in the centre of the park.
