Kevin Nisbet made his return from a long-term knee injury in Hibs ' 2-0 friendly defeat to Middlesbrough at Easter Road.
The Premiership side have been rocked by Martin Boyle's ACL injury which rules him out until the end of the season, but that pain is somewhat eased by the return of their star striker. Nisbet's been out of action since early this year and hasn't kicked a ball competitively for boss Lee Johnson, but got 45 minutes in the first half of the encounter with English Championship opposition.
It was a tight first half that ended goalless but Michael Carrick's side soon got in front through a strike by Chuba Akpom and Sonny Finch's goal finished off scoring. Hibs will host Edinburgh before returning to Premiership action next month against Rangers at Ibrox, where they will likely be the opponents for a side who will hope to be playing with a new manager after Giovanni van Bronckhorst's sacking.
