Kerry Katona's eight-year-old daughter rushed to hospital during 'terrifying' health scare in Turkey

Kerry Katona has told of the "most terrifying moment" a family trip abroad took a downward turn as her eight-year-old daughter was rushed to hospital after collapsing on the floor in Turkey.

The 42-year-old singer explained how she watched DJ's eyes roll to the back of her head in the health scare whilst on a trip to get her teeth done.

Kerry explained to OK! Magazine: “On the last day, I was blow-drying our DJ's hair and she collapsed, with her eyes rolling back. It was the most terrifying thing ever.

“Ryan picked her up and ran outside with her to get some fresh air, and she just sat there staring at me and throwing up. The hospital said her blood pressure had dropped as she was overheated and hungry.”

The mum-of-five continued to explain how scary the situation got as the child was so disorientated by the ordeal that she thought Kerry's fiance Ryan Mahoney was trying to throw her off the balcony.

But it wasn't the only drama to come from the holiday, as The Sun reports Kerry was also unwell during the trip and later discovered it was because she had kidney stones.

Kerry is mum to Molly-Marie, 21, and Lilly-Sue, 20, from her marriage to Brian McFadden, and Heidi, 16, and Maxwell, 14, from her second marriage to Mark Croft. She also has Dylan-Jorge, or DJ as she is known, from her relationship with the late George Kay.

Kerry previously revealed her eight-year-old daughter DJ used to "spit in her face" after seeing the abuse she endured from her ex-husband George Kay, who died aged 39 in 2019 after taking cocaine.

The singer divorced George in 2017 and eventually took a restraining order out on him and prevented him from seeing DJ. George hadn't seen his child for more than a year before his death.

The former Atomic Kitten star admitted she also struggled with her body confidence on the trip and said she was still feeling "self-conscious" after undergoing corrective surgery for a botched tummy tuck.

The star was seen wearing a tummy binder while on holiday and she revealed she "wasn't ready" to show the result.

Kerry told OK! magazine: “I still don’t feel ready to show off my body – I’ve been covering up while I’m here in Turkey.

“I’m still self-conscious and I’m just not 100% confident yet."

In a video posted to her YouTube channel, Kerry went clothes shopping with her daughters and said: "I'm trying to hide away with my body because I hate myself right now. I know it's not good as I should have a body positive mental attitude."
