Kerry Katona gets 'sign' encouraging moving plans

Kerry Katona is thinking of moving to Spain

Kerry Katona thinks she has received a "sign" to start a new life in Spain.

The former Atomic Kitten singer and her new boyfriend Paolo Margaglione recently revealed they have discussed moving abroad in the future and now they may bring their plans forward after she was told the school her 11-year-old daughter DJ - who she has with late third husband George Kay - attends is closing down at the end of this academic year.

Kerry wrote in her column for new! magazine: "I recently got a message announcing they are shutting DJ’s school down in July. Molly, Lilly and Heidi all went to that school, so I am truly gutted.

"Now we’re running around trying to get her into a different school, but they favour pupils who already have siblings who attend, so DJ’s been put on a waiting list.

"I’m in touch with another school but we keep missing each other, so I’m wondering if this is a sign to up and leave to Spain and start fresh…"

Kerry's comments come after Paolo recently revealed the couple are planning a new life outside of the UK.

He told OK! magazine of where they see themselves in a year's time: "Hopefully somewhere hot and sunny. The idea is, at some point, to potentially move away from the UK. It’s something I wanted to do and something Kerry’s wanted, too."

And last month, mother-of-five Kerry admitted she would seriously consider relocating to Dubai following a brief break there with Paolo.

She wrote in her column: "Paolo and I travelled to Dubai for a romantic getaway for our first Valentine’s Day, where we had a mega-quick 20-minute catch up with Katie Price and her husband Lee.

"But unfortunately, during the trip, Paolo had to go back to the UK for a work emergency. I got to spend literally 14 hours with him before he had to leave, which meant I was left alone in Dubai, which we were both gutted about.

"I can see why so many celebrities move to Dubai. It’s definitely somewhere I’d consider moving to. It’s safe, clean, it’s lovely, everyone looks after each other – in fact I could probably see myself living there this time next year. And my children would come with me."

Despite enjoying her own company, the 45-year-old star ultimately decided to cut her trip short in order to be with Paolo on Valentine's Day (14.02.26).

She wrote: "I spent the time by myself, sitting by the pool and going through emails, trying to catch up on work in the sunshine.

"It looked like I would be spending Valentine’s Day in Dubai alone because of Paolo’s work emergency, and I was thinking, it’s just one day in a year – we can celebrate our love for one another every other day, like we do anyway.

"The silver lining was me sunbathing and making the most of some down time before heading on tour with Abba Mia in May.

"But then I had a change of heart and decided to fly home early to be with him."
