Kilmarnock are keen on a move for Kerr McInroy after he was released by Celtic.
Derek McInnes is interested in the midfielder as he prepares his squad for the return to the Scottish Premiership.
The Scotland under-21 international impressed on loan at Ayr United and is out of contract with the Parkhead side.
McInnes reckons the 21-year-old could come in and add something to his newly promoted squad.
McInroy would offer versatility in the middle of the park as he can play in any central midfield position.
He has previously had loan spells at Dunfermline and Airdrie.
Kilmarnock have already made their first signing with the capture of midfielder Alan Power from St Mirren. He has returned to Rugby Park for his second spell at the club.
McInnes has openly admitted he wants to strengthen right across his squad this summer.
