KOCHI: The Kerala high court on Friday criticised the state government and the public works department (PWD) for the loss of one more life due to the potholes on roads in the state.
Justice Devan Ramachandran was considering the case regarding bad roads urgently in view of the death of 70-year-old Kunjumuhammed of Kunnathukara near Marampally in Ernakulam.
While riding his scooter on Aluva-Munnar Road, Kunjumuhammed fell into a pothole at Chalakkal on August 20 and succumbed to injuries at a hospital yesterday.
